About the artist

Supriya is a licensed massage therapist who began painting in 2000  offering massages for painting lessons. She fell in love with color, texture and the amazing way she

felt after focusing for hours while painting. She feels that painting is

a meditative process, allowing one to see more and more, and to

develop in the skill of being mindful and present.

She is a yoga teacher, Interfaith minister, improvisational dancer, gardener and lover of nature.  She has exhibited her work at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists,

SCAN in Newtown’s art shows,  at the Rowayton Art Center and at

restaurants in Bethel, CT.

She lives in Danbury with her beloved husband, Dick Hermenze, her sweet dog, Jazzie and her 2 cats, Zoey and Orange.
